Review of Bridge Camp Campground in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest

Review of Bridge Camp Campground in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest

Bridge Camp is located off the west shore of Trinity Lake.  You'll need to drive about 2 miles of very narrow dirt road after miles of paved but remote driving on Trinity Alps Road.  The campground entrance will be on your left.

Six of the campsites are situated right on the rivers' edge.  Sites 1 and 2 (after you click, spin around this 360 photo to see the corrals) are set up with corrals for horse camping.  The campsites are all shaded with plenty of cleared ground for multiple tents.  The privacy rating between sites is moderate.  The road around the camp and the parking spurs are dirt.

Locals whispered of a hot spring about a mile out from the campground but I couldn't find anything written about it.  Ready, set, go see if this is true!  The greatest draw to this campground is the trailhead for one of the most popular backpacking trails (The Stuart Fork Trail) to the Trinity Alps Wilderness.  If you like backpacking, it's a 25 mile hile with high ratings.  Check it out at www.alltrails.com.
