Ultimate Camping Checklist - General

Ultimate Camping Checklist - General

There's nothing worse than forgetting something really important when you go camping.  I forgot to bring extra underwear one year.  That sucked.

Since that moment I've kept a complete list of camping necessities to pack.  Never again will I be staring at a can of chicken noodle soup without a can opener or standing over the local hot springs without my bathing suit (not that that's ever happened).

Please note, this list just includes the basics and was created from my experiences.  I generally go car camping and recently started camping with my three young kids.  I have separate packing lists for clothes and gear for babies, toddlers and adults as well as a packing list for the campers' kitchen.

Also of note: it was not a mistake that the potty training toilet landed on this list.  Yes, it started out on the toddlers' clothes and gear list.  But this little miracle pot has resolved my midnight BIF pee splatter issues (totally gross)!  So, I have decided it now belongs on the permanent list.  It probably deserves to be first.  I absolutely love this thing!  To be honest, I keep the darn thing in my car.  Line your potty training toilet with a diaper and any of your toilet trained kids have a place to go on the go.  Plus, it's easy to clean up!

Hope this helps others out there!  Please feel free to let me know if I have left anything out.
